I must say i'm getting bored of all these low rating movies, and to call them Horror movies is a disgrace to the classic horror movie genre. These so called horror movies are an embarrassment to all those good movies that have been made in the past decades. I have been researching the web to see what's new and upcoming, and from what i'm reading it sounds like there is no more ideas, what's with all the remakes coming out. EX. The Fog, Amityville horror, children should'nt play with dead things, and the worst of all is the prequel to the TCM remake. The only movie's i'm looking forward to this year is the Devils rejects and land of the dead at least some writers and directors are staying true to there roots and not selling out just to get the tweens money in the box office. so far this year all these movies are directed to a younger crowd, what about us older kids who can handle alittle swearing and some good ole blood.

They don't all look that bad. You should hop over to Lions Gate and check out some of their shit. They have one on the way called Undead, that I want to see... of course, I may be a little biased on that, as I just like the name.
Personally, I think they should make a few less romantic comedies.

I hear Mr. ropeburn, I do agree that when Lion's gate releases a movie it usally is a good one. I know that they are releasing a movie called HIGH TENSION, I'm actually looking forward to that as well, it sounds like a old school Last house on the left scenario. And i do agree with you on the romantic comedies, i find the funny at first then they always get boring and to serious, they forget about the humor as the movie goes on. i think the last comedy movie i laughed at was School of rock.

first i have to say that i used to love school of rock, but um...i try not to talk about that too much, it was funny. I love Jack Black! I do agree though that most of the recent horror movies (or at least thats what they claim to be) suck. I hate how they always make it all make sense in the end. Horror movies should always stay scary, but the writers (or whoever is to blame for it) always have to try and make everything make sense in the end. Like....ummm...oh, Hide and Seek, thats not scary, its just like Secret Window which also bothered me cause it all made sense in the end. What happened to the good horror movies that end with everyone dead and there's no explination to any of it? I think the move It (Stephan King) may even be better than some of the recent so called horror movies. I love horror movies but lately I have to go to something else cause the new movies suck. The Ring 2 looks horrible, but i want to see it just to see how horrible it actually is. Ok, well, Im done for now cause im running out of things to say. so, yeah im done.

So far so good, i'm liking the fact that i'm not the only one thinking this way. You know if i could make movies, i would be doing them like how hey should be done. Since we are on the Cabin fever message board, i do have to give Eli props for his movie, I believe it's a movie in which you either love it or hate it. It was a new concept which no one has done before, and he makes you think the movie has a happy ending, but really it does'nt, also there it a shit load of blood in it. I loved how he threw in little tid bits of his favorite horror movies into the mix. Since the realease of his movie i've been wearing the Cabin fever touqe this winter with pride!

For the record, I'mma chick And, the sequel to The Ring kinda disturbs me. I really liked The Ring, it blew Fear Dot Com out of the water (which to be honest wasn't hard to do because Fear sucked ass), but The Ring just doesn't seem like it NEEDS a sequel. Some sequels are great, and I'm looking forward to CF2, but there's a difference. Cabin Fever left you hanging. There are questions to be anwsered in CF2, but The Ring explained itself. I think they're going to have a hard time finding a fresh way to look at that film, and I'd hate to see The Ring 2 turn out craptacular and possibly detract from the first one.

ok i agree with the both of you, Cabin Fever is great and there is no "kinda"s to liking i, you either do, or you dont, i love it my friends dont. one of them did make a point though, there is no suspense in the kiling of everyone, it becomes so random. just "ha! your dead!" kinda thing, its still great anyway.
and the Ring doesnt need a sequel, it left off exactly where it needed to, you need some kind of cliff hanger endings, other wise its dumd. now CF on the other hand, is left completely open, and everyone wants a sequel cause its a great movie!!

Well I know this aint a horror movie, but it is a dark movie, but the film im hotlly anticipating is BATMAN: BEGINS!!! It looks so fantastic from what ive read and seen. Im sure its going to be a contender for greatest comic book movie ever. The director has done a magnificant job on keeping to the original context, an example of this can be found in the trailer. The gotham shown in the trailer is about 95% accurate to the gotham in the comics, no more ridiculously big statues and architecture and gone is the overly gay batmobile and batman nipples... I cant Wait!
